The Hanover Recreational Wrestling Program is designed to accommodate a wide range of interests, ages and experience levels.

This year we will be competing in three leagues. Our novice team competes in the North Jersey Junior Youth Wrestling League (NJJYWL) and the King of the Mat (KOM) Jamboree League, which provides an opportunity for beginning wrestlers to test their skills in a low-key setting. Scrimmages are organized with other towns by informally pairing wrestlers according to their weights, ages and experience levels. The NJJYWL is expanding its format this year to include similar matches for wrestlers who have moved beyond the novice level and may be ready for Junior Varsity or Varsity matches. The league's goal is to provide additional weekly wrestling opportunities for what will become our Varsity and Junior Varsity Wrestling Teams. Our Varsity Team will compete in the North Jersey Youth Wrestling League. Team and individual scores are kept with end of year tournaments for both team and individual recognition.

The Hanover Recreational Wrestling Program is open to all Hanover Township, New Jersey residents whose school ages range from Kindergarten through the 8th grade. Applications are available at the Hanover Township Community Center Office, located at 15 North Jefferson Road Whippany, New Jersey 07981.
